Had dessert and coffee at the cafe on the second floor. Service staff was very polite and responsive. Food was delicious. Christmas is around the corner, so they decorated the place with Christmas theme. You will find the store at the 1st floor which features a wide range of sweets and dessert.

One of my favorite dessert places in japan. The ambiance is nice the servers are good and the service is good. The desserts are on point. Wish I came with more people so I can try more but I’ve been here at least 2 times so i did get to try more.

Rokkatei is one of my favorite Japanese snack shop in Sapporo. They have huge selections of traditional and contemporary snacks. It is also a good place to get omiyage (souvenir) for friends and family.

I have not idea with this shop before I come in. I craze Japaneses small dessert and they make every dessert like little gift. I just grab some that I may like(can't try, just imagine the taste). Beware their expire day is real short (some only three days, or one day), you have to buy and just eat. I tried it at home, and I regret that I didn't buy more, cuz each one was terrific, I can't stop to eat more and more. I will definitely come to the shop and to get more.

Very comfortable atmosphere and great desserts. Main store on ground floor sells lots of old fashioned sweets. Cafe is located on second floor, and serves a variety of desserts. Their signature strawberry cream cake and strawberry parfait are both excellent, and their chestnut iced potash soup was also surprisingly delicious. Put your name on the waiting list to get seated.

They've managed to turn a normal cafe into art and it feels like a museum! Beautiful food and the presentation is also amazing!

Lovely dessert place in the center of Sapporo, just near the JR Sapporo station. We had light lunch and dessert for two. We came there for the dessert, but the pizza was also unexpectedly delicious. Tofu citrus dessert was a really interesting and refreshing combination of flavours and textures with soy, almond and 3 different citrus fruits arranged in a masterful manner. We finished our visit with a takeaway chocolate biscuit cheesecake for takeaway. A must visit in Sapporo!

Been here 5+ times. Their desserts are always consistent. Quiet place filled with mostly locals.

I’ve been to this store at least three times and it never disappoints. Some of this store’s originals are the shortcake (which I think is always on the menu and I would say a must-have) and, on this occasion, a strawberry parfait. The ice cream in the parfait was some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Recommended is also the strawberry juice or milk, I had the strawberry juice this time. It’s so delicious, the service is good and I think it’s great value.

High class atmosphere, with a nice view of frostbitten Sapporo if you are so lucky. The service is excellent, efficient, and well kept. The sweets are excellent and certainly worth the ~500円 price tag. Be sure to arrive early if you want to try the shop specialties. Not that you're going to leave dissatisfied at all with any of their offerings!The 'hot chocolate' and ice cream azuki dish were both great!

There are 2 floors. The first sells the pastry snacks for gifts and souvenirs while the 2nd is the cafe. Ambiance: They use flower garden theme throughout the cafè which is very cute. The cafè is quite large with a standard range of menu, there’s pizza for those who are not much of a sweet toothFood: the strawberry shortcake is very very good. The hot chocolate is also very good for it’s price. Their original blend tea is a bit too strong (workman mug tea) not exactly my type of tea for afternoon cake eating time.

By far the best dessert I had in Japan. Shop on first level, food on second. The "ice cream sandwich" wasn't amazing, but the cakes were out of this world! Write your name down on the list, and they will call you when there's an available table.

Japanese confectionery/desert cafe that serves great value (quality for the price). Put your name down for a table in the 2nd floor cafe area and shop for souvenirs downstairs while you wait.Given the lineup and hype, you'd think that it would be overpriced but it's quite the opposite, beating out the prices at most run-of-the-mill Tokyo cafes. That said, I'll be honest, I didn't think that it was mind blowing either; just very good.

Best ice cream sandwiches in the world!

I love these sweets. There is a cafe on top that has delicious ice cream sandwiches and cheese cake sandwiches. They make very good souvenirs.

we reached this place at 5 55pm and was unable to try the food in the cafe. But they do sell individually packed limited editions pantries/dessert for takeaway which I didnt see selling elsewhere. Staff service and food was excellent.

A very quiet comfortable cafe to spend an afternoon in. Staff were polite. Menu has many seasonal options and main shop only items. I had their chestnut potash, which is a seasonal item and it was delicious. I also had their strawberry cake, which is available in this main shop, this cake may sound simple but it was delicious, the strawberries were crunchy and sweet, well balanced with the cream and sponge cake.

The gift shop on the lower floor had the most fabulous selection of biscuits and cakes! There are some exclusive sets that you can only buy in the store available here. I would definitely purchase some of the mixed gift bags! There is a small takeaway cafe upstairs for coffee, tea, and ice cream and a sit down cafe with delicious sweets and some lunch options. Quite expensive and the service was slow but overall a luxurious experience. The cakes on offer a very high quality and change with the seasons. The decor is sleek and minimal, with pillows decorated in Rokkatei's famous floral pattern. I would recommend the small black and white biscuit- a speciality of the brand!

This place is OK for their cakes. Pizza is very small. Overall I feel you can try if you have a lot of time, otherwise spend your money and calories intake elsewhere
